9mm+ jewel grade South Sea pearl, Indonesia

This 9.06*9.27mm , jewel grade, natural colour and luster, bead cultured South Sea pearl single was harvested in Indonesia . It features very good lustre , moderately blemished surface , and very good nacre . Tahitian pearls are harvested from Pinctada margaritiferal oysters grown in semi-enclosed lagoons. Responsible oyster collecting and hatchery technology contribute to make the sector non-extractive. Waste and resource management are crucial to ensure quality pearls can continue to be harvested in those ecosystems and provide livelihood opportunities to communities living in often isolated areas.
