9mm+ jewel grade Tahitian Black pearl, French Polynesia

This 11.00/11.02mm , jewel grade, natural colour and luster, bead cultured Tahitian Black pearl pair was harvested in French Polynesia . It features very good lustre , lightly blemished surface , and very good nacre . Tahitian pearls are harvested from Pinctada margaritiferal oysters grown in semi-enclosed lagoons. Responsible oyster collecting and hatchery technology contribute to make the sector non-extractive. Waste and resource management are crucial to ensure quality pearls can continue to be harvested in those ecosystems and provide livelihood opportunities to communities living in often isolated areas.
