This 11.96x11.93mm , fine grade, natural colour and luster, non-bead cultured (keshis) South Sea pearl pair was harvested in Philippines . It features good lustre , moderately blemished surface , and very good nacre . South Sea pearls grow in pinctada maxima, the largest pearl-bearing oysters, which is only found in a narrow corridor stretching from northern Australia to southern Japan. Located in the western Pacific Ocean, the Philippines archipelago consists of about 7,641 Islands. The country is known for its Golden South Sea pearl, the result of rare nutrients and oyster selective breeding. The industry follows a 2001 Code of Practice outlining general principles and guidelines for environmentally-sound design and operations, making our supplier ethical.
